Information for parents

• If I miss a lesson no charge will be made. (The amount will be taken off the next term’s bill, or refunded if your child is not continuing to have lessons.)
• If your child is unable to have a lesson for any reason no refund can be made, although it may be possible to re-schedule it. 
• I charge for blocks of 12 lessons at a time although there are usually more than 12 in the Christmas Term and fewer in the others. (Lessons are carried forward or paid for in arrears as appropriate. Refunds are made in July where  necessary.) 
• It is essential that your child practises every day. Please encourage him/her to do so: it is usually a good idea to have a fixed practice time and to stick to it. 
• Please give at least half a term’s notice if your child is stopping lessons. 

Like all teachers who work in schools I have been checked by the CRB and the form can be seen on request. Parents are welcome to stay in lessons if they wish.

Term Dates

Lessons are given in blocks, following the Peterborough schools’ term dates as given on the City Council Website. (Please note that different schools sometimes start or finish a day earlier or later than this. Let me know if there is a problem). 

Autumn Term 2011 (all dates are inclusive):
Wednesday, 7th September to Friday, 16th December
Half-term: Monday 24th - Saturday, 29th October

Spring Term 2012 (all dates are inclusive):
Wednesday, 4th January to Friday, 30th March
Half-term: Monday, 13th - Saturday, 18th February

Summer Term 2012 (all dates are inclusive):
Wednesday, 17th April to Friday, 20th July
May Day holiday: Monday, 7th May
Half-term: Monday, 4th June to Saturday, 9th
